Episode 3- The Believer’s Weaponry (Part 1)

In God’s arsenal, there are five faithful weapons that He has made available to his children to fight the good fight of faith.

You will agree that if there was no war, there will be no need for weaponry.
However, let me sound an alarm to those who don’t know: LIFE IS A BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY!!!
So if you think that you just arrived on the scene called life and you have not offended anyone hence no one need trouble you, you are much mistaken…

There has been an ongoing war which started between God, your creator and Satan, His and your adversary, in the heavens (read Isaiah 14). This war moved subtly on as deception, into the garden of Eden with the first man, Adam and his wife, Eve (read Genesis 3) and now you and I are partakers.

Genesis 3:14-15 – The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life; And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

Revelations 12:17 – Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring–those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

THERE IS AN ONGOING WAR AND YOU AND I HAVE BEEN DRAFTED IN THE ARMY OF THE LORD!

Corinthians 10:4-5 – “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”.

The believer’s weaponry include:

1. The Word of God
2. The Name of Jesus
3. The Blood of Jesus
4. Praise
5. Prayer and Fasting

These are not made according to the flesh. They are spiritual and they are divine. They are faithful and they are dependable weapons. You can use them anytime and anywhere.

They were given by God to His children with the knowledge that every battle we fight in life has a spiritual root and if you can win in the spiritual realm, you have won in the physical realm.
